Annapurna Recovery FAQs

I'm coming from Pokhara after Annapurna. How far is SOMA?

SOMA is located in Bhaktapur, about 45 minutes from Kathmandu (where most Pokhara buses arrive) and 30 minutes from Tribhuvan Airport. We recommend booking for the day after you arrive in Kathmandu to rest first.

My knees are very sore from the descent. Can you help?

Yes! Knee pain is common after Annapurna descents. Our therapists work around the knee joint, focusing on the muscles that support it (quads, IT band, calves) to relieve pressure and aid recovery.

Which massage is best after Annapurna Circuit vs ABC?

For the full Circuit (especially after Thorong La), we recommend the 120-minute Recovery Special. For ABC, the 75-90 minute sessions are usually sufficient unless you have specific problem areas.
